In their busy lives, Kate and Dermot rush along on parallel lines, seldom coming together to exchange a word or a kiss. To rekindle the love they once knew, Kate struggles to lose weight, has a make-over, buys new clothes, and arranges a romantic trip to Spain with Dermot. But for the third time he cancels and she goes alone. In Andalusia she meets the artist Jack Linley. Book Two-  The Liberated Woman

Kate has ditched her obnoxious husband, Dermot and is reunited with her lover Jack. Her interior design business goes international and TV appearances bring instant success. But Dermot hasn’t gone away and his problems encroach. Brother Pat and family come home from Boston and move in on a supposedly temporary basis. Kate’s manipulative stepmother Irene is getting married again and she is dragged into the extravaganza. And when a secret from the past is revealed Kate has to review her choices.

A chance meeting with ex- lover Jack throws Kate into a spin. She cannot forgive him and concentrates all her passions on her interior design business, and television work. Jack still loves Kate and, as time passes without reconciliation, he feels more and more frustrated. Estranged husband, Dermot, has a change of fortunes and wants her back. Her stepmother, Irene, is as wacky as ever, and is being chased by the paparazzi. Best friend, Carol, is searching for a man on the internet, and persuades Kate to come along as chaperone on a date. Are these paths to Kate’s new life or roundabouts to her old one?
